Hi I am Nancy the inventor of Bears of the Heart™.  I hope that everone who gets a Bear of the Heart™ well be lifted up and blessed.

When my only daughter Whitney was 3 months old she was accidentally pulled off a changing table by a sitter and knocked out by the fall.  The sitter Shook her trying to revive her.  Whitney has had 2 brain surgeries and has severe brain damage, she can't walk or talk and has to be cared for 24 hours a day, she is now 16 years old.  I quit my job of 14 years as a telephone operator that day and have cared for her at home ever since.  Handi cap kids hold a special place in my heart and I want to start a foundation for them with a portion of the proceeds of each bear.

When Whitney was injured the Veterans played a big roll in her recovery and care. I would make prayer rocks and send them to the ladies auxilaries, they would sell them at garage sales and bake sales to raise money for whitney and her care. 

A portion of the sale of the soldier bear will go to the Hope For Hero's foundation for our soldiers coming home with brain damage and without limbs.

Look for new bears every few months.  May God be present in all our lives.
